The fit
It starts with your head shape. We measure your individual proportions and carve a custom wooden hat block specifically for you. This is what allows us to create a hat shaped around your head, rather than asking your head to fit a standard hat.
The shape
From classic Western silhouettes to more distinctive proportions, the crown and brim define the character of your hat. We'll help you find a combination that suits your style and your head and face shape.
The material
Choose from our available high-quality felts and straw options, with colours and materials depending on the design and season.
The details
This is where you can make it personal. Explore leather hatbands, custom buckles, trims and other finishing details to give your hat its own identity.

FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINISHED HAT

01 — The consultation
Visit our workshop in Manacor to explore the options, try different shapes and discuss your ideas. We'll take your measurements and exact head shape and work out the design together.

02 — The design
Once we've agreed on the shape, material and details, we'll confirm your order and pricing before production begins.

03 — The making
We shape and finish your hat using traditional hatmaking techniques, working through each stage in our workshop.

04 — Collection or delivery
When your hat is ready, you can collect it in Manacor or arrange shipping if you're further away.

Your consultation is free.
A €250 non-refundable deposit secures your order once the design is confirmed, with the remaining balance due when your hat is finished.
Specially crafted details or time-intensive custom work may incur an additional charge, which we'll always discuss with you before confirming your order.
Shipping is charged separately.

NOT IN MALLORCA?
You can still commission a custom hat from wherever you are.
We'll arrange a video consultation to discuss your design and send you a measuring tool to help us capture the exact shape and dimensions of your head. Using these measurements, we'll create your individual wooden hat block before shaping your hat.
Once we've confirmed the design and measurements, production can begin. When your hat is finished, we'll arrange delivery to your address.
Because your hat is shaped specifically for you, accurate measurements are essential. Once production has begun, significant changes to the shape, size or colour may no longer be possible.

How long does it take?
Production typically takes around 3–6 weeks, depending on the design and our current workload. We'll confirm the expected timeframe when you place your order.
What if I don't know which shape suits me?
That's part of the consultation. You can try different silhouettes and discuss proportions with us before deciding.
Can you make a hat for my head shape?
Absolutely. We don't just measure your head circumference - we take your individual head shape into account. For a truly personalised fit, we create a custom wooden hat block shaped specifically to your head. This allows us to shape your hat around your unique proportions, rather than relying on a standard oval form. The result is a hat made to fit you, not the other way around.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, for custom-hat consultations. Our regular shop opening hours are separate, so you can still visit Zimmer 55 on Sundays without booking a custom-hat appointment.
